Afterburn

After forming the hard rockin UK based 3 piece ‘Foo Foo’ the brothers Graham ‘G-Rock‘ and Doug ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins enjoyed a couple of years of playing at many of Londons bars and pubs. The bros then met fellow Aussie Aaron ‘A-man’ Ninness also working in London and the kid from Glen Inness quickly joined the band as lead guitarist.

Many great UK gigs later ‘Foo Foo’ called it a day and the 3 guys decided to head home to Oz with a plan to one day reunite and get funky. ‘G-Rock ‘and ‘The Hawk’ touched down in Melbourne and ‘A-man’ returned to Northern NSW. After a 6 month hiatus the lads were again itching for a gig and decided to reunite in Melbourne to make some noise .

The hunt then started for a great drummer and vocalist. Soon after, former hard hitting percussionist for the cover band ‘Tilt’, Andy ‘Wil’ Wilson joined to complete the rhythm section. Ex-lead singer of ‘What the Funk’ and ‘Zeus Juice’, Rob ‘Robstar’ Cassio took the helm as front man and the dynamic ‘Afterburn’ line up was complete.

The boys play a popular mix of old and modern Funk, Soul, Pop and Rock. The guys have an extensive list of great music guaranteed to cater for all tastes and functions.

Afterburn are the ‘ultimate’ party cover band – They play the best party songs to make you sing, dance, laugh, have fun and interact with the band.
